Hinesburg Affordable Housing Committee

Meeting Minutes

December 16, 2009

Committee Members Present: Rocky Martin, George Bedard, Kellie Stoll, Julie Pierson, Carl Bohlen, Dale Wernhoff

Also Present: Bart Frisbie, Molly Dugan, Amy Wright, Tim Ashe

The meeting came to order at approximately 7:05 PM.

Cathedral Square and Thistle Hill: Molly Dugan (Project Manager), Amy Wright (Director of Development), and Tim Ashe (Project Manager), all of Cathedral Square Corp. (http://www.cathedralsquare.org/) came to discuss their organization and to see if Cathedral Square would have any interest in working with Bart Frisbie of Sterling Construction, Inc. (http://www.sterlingconstructioninc.com/) on his Thistle Hill Development, off Mechanicsville Road. Molly and Amy gave us a brief history of Cathedral Square, which is a “non-profit organization that owns and manages communities for seniors and people with disabilities” in the area, according to their web site. Bart then acquainted Molly, Amy, and Tim with his development. Bart’s Thistle Hill project is currently permitted for 32 senior housing units and he is interested in some form of partnership with Cathedral Square to facilitate the project. Amy stated that Cathedral Square is committed to two projects that will take about 18 months to complete so they would be looking for their next project in 2012. Bart thought he could work with that timeline so both parties decided to continue a dialogue on the project.
