Community Pool Discussion
Kitty Frazier forwarded e-mail with many attachments with info on a community pool.
Karen has experience in a former community that had a town pool built in the 1960s. It became a huge drain on expenses and the aging facility was a challenge. The community struggled to keep it going, but with increased costs, and on-going maintenance eventually the pool closed. “A community pool is like a marriage – a life-long commitment.”
Pete proposed having Kitty form a sub-committee and look at feasibility.
Mike does not want to mislead Kitty. He would prefer to stay focused on our current mission of acquiring land for recreation development.
Next Meeting: 3/9/10
